GummySearch is closing

The GummySearch alternative for people who actually need somewhere to go.

GummySearch stopped taking new signups in November 2025 and shuts down for good on December 1, 2026. If you ran Reddit research or monitoring through it, you need a real landing spot, not a feature bake-off between two tools you can both still buy. Here is where to go instead.

What's actually happening to GummySearch

These dates come straight from GummySearch's own closing announcement. If you just found out, here is what matters.

The cause is Reddit's API pricing. GummySearch was built on Reddit's API, and the commercial terms made it unworkable to keep charging for it. This is the same platform-dependency risk that can hit any tool sitting on top of one network's data. It is not a knock on the team, who by all accounts ran a good product.

Do this before you lose access: log into GummySearch, export your keyword lists and saved searches, and save them somewhere you own. You will want them when you set up whatever you move to, including ours.

GummySearch did two different jobs. Split them.

This is the part most "best GummySearch alternative" roundups skip. GummySearch bundled audience research and ongoing monitoring into one subscription. They are different jobs, and they have different homes now. Bundling both into one $49+ subscription was always more than most people needed.

The research job

Finding where your audience is

Discovering which subreddits your buyers actually live in, and what language they use. You do this once at the start, then occasionally when you expand.

For that, use our free Subreddit Finder. Describe your product, get the communities that fit, no subscription. It covers the discovery piece you used GummySearch's audience search for.

The ongoing job

Catching threads worth replying to

Week after week, surfacing the specific posts where a reply from you would land, before someone else's answer becomes the top comment that AI later quotes.

That is Reddit Brand Monitor. Five ranked threads per digest, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, each with the angle to take and a coaching note so you don't get filtered.

Why we don't auto-write the replies

The fastest way to waste a Reddit account in 2026 is to point an auto-poster at it. Reddit's spam filters and mod tooling got noticeably better in 2025 at spotting machine-written comments, and a shadowban is silent. Your comments go invisible to everyone but you, with no notification, and weeks of work quietly evaporate.

So Reddit Brand Monitor surfaces the threads and hands you the angle, then the Reply Coach checks your draft for the tells that read as AI before you post. You write in your own voice. That is the part the algorithm rewards and the part that cannot be safely automated. If a tool offers to post for you, that is a feature working against you.

Reddit is also a compounding channel, not a 30-day one. The first month is learning which subs reward your voice. By months two and three, good comments get upvoted into permanent visibility and start showing up in LLM citations and Google's AI Overviews. If you need attribution inside 30 days, this is the wrong channel and we will tell you that up front.

Common questions from GummySearch users

Is GummySearch really shutting down?

Yes. Signups and purchases closed November 30, 2025. The tool runs for existing paid customers through November 30, 2026, with no renewals, and on December 1, 2026 the servers go off and all user data is permanently deleted. The cause is Reddit's API pricing. Export your keyword lists and saved searches before you lose access.

Can I still sign up for GummySearch?

No. New purchases ended in November 2025 and existing plans will not renew. A genuine GummySearch alternative has to be a tool you can actually start today, which is the whole point of this page.

Is Reddit Brand Monitor a one-to-one replacement?

For ongoing monitoring and engagement, yes, and it adds reply coaching GummySearch never had. For deep audience research and analytics, use our free Subreddit Finder for the discovery piece. If your main use was heavy trend dashboards, it is not a full analytics-suite swap for that one piece.

Can I bring my exported keywords over?

Yes. When you set up a brand in Reddit Brand Monitor you name your subreddits, keywords, and competitors. Paste in the keyword list you exported from GummySearch and you are most of the way configured.

What does it cost?

$12 per month for one brand, plus $8 per month per additional brand. Cancel anytime. For most former GummySearch users that is also a meaningful cost reduction.

Land somewhere before December.

You do not have to decide everything today, but you do have a deadline GummySearch set for you. Start the monitoring side now, keep using the free Subreddit Finder for research, and you are covered before the servers go dark.
